Nurturing Emotional Well-being in Creative Spaces

We believe that emotional intelligence is fundamental to living a happy, healthy and productive life. It is our mission to support children and adults by providing courses, workshops, training and products which nurture both emotional and physical well-being. Our creative approach provides opportunities for children and adults to learn about emotional intelligence whilst engaging with creative media. Research shows that being creative allows us to express ourselves, reduces stress and anxiety, improves focus and concentration, builds resilience and much more.

About us ….

Carol and Maria are Early Years Professionals with a vast array of knowledge and experience working with children and families in nurseries, schools and Children’s Centres.  They are both passionate about supporting the development of emotional intelligence and resilience.  Having worked in nursery and pre-school with children with severe anxiety issues, Carol researched the effects of anxiety on learning and physical and mental health. Her findings led her to become a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner whereby she uses strategies in her daily work with adults to support and improve emotional well-being. Maria’s interest lies in how children communicate their emotions. Through her work with children and families that have suffered loss or bereavement, she has noted that some children are unable to recognise different emotions, give them names or allow their emotions to even surface. She uses art and other creative techniques to enable children and adults to express themselves in ways that seem natural to them. Carol and Maria have combined their skill sets to form Cre8ability with a mission to improve mental health and well-being.

For the third year running we are thankful for funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to assist in our delivery of the 6 week family programme
